The Greencore Group are committed to achieving continued success
by developing its employees at all levels.

An example of this, is the company's goal that a minimum of 80% of the production workforce
will achieve a nationally recognised qualification in Food Hygiene and Health & Safety.

650 production staff have already been trained in Food Hygiene and Health & Safety with a virtual 100% achievement rate. This success rate is not achieved simply by luck, but by a process of in depth course development that encompasses the needs of the individual trainees, the demands of, production and the long term business goals of the company.

An ideal example of this was seen at the Park Royal factory in London. To a number of staff English is not their first language, so to address this situation and ensure success courses were delivered in Tamil!

The Birmingham and Solihull Learning and Skills Council has recently given the seal of approval to BBS's work with Greencore Groups by allocating funds to support staff training and we are currently in negotiations with Greencore Groups to take this programme forward.
