Use of Safety Signs, Notices and Posters.

 
When are Safety Signs required?

Safety signs are to be used
where a risk assessment indicates that a risk can not be avoided
or
engineered out
or
reduced significantly by way of a Safe System of Work.

What about Road Traffic Signs?
Where there is a risk arising from the movement of traffic
on a company road, the signs stipulated by the Road Traffic Act must be used.


Maintenance of Safety Signs and Posters:
All signs, posters and notices must be maintained
in an adequate state of repair and kept clean.

What Colour must a Safety Sign be and what do they mean?
