The
Greencore Group are pleased to provide this
feedback page for the following reasons: - We
believe in this project.
- To
enable individuals attending the seminar to provide feedback
to the working
party on best industrial practice from within the UK, which can be incorporated
within the future code of practice. - To
stimulate further discussion from around the world
e.g. other peoples experience
within, and outside, the food industry.
We
look forward to receiving your comments and building a useful web page. Why
have we not offered a fancy 'WWW' bulletin board?
We
are satisfied that the human eye viewing of 'feedback' is preferable to
automated conferencing. We shall include all sensible, appropriate and suitable
contributions but reserve the right to maintain editorial control. We
will
remove all personal details, e.g. email addresses etc., from the internet page
and will acknowledge intellectual property rights within the finished code of
practice unless requested not to do so. The shared information provided will
be posted on this website,
via a feedback and forwarded to the working party.

Tuesday, June 1, 2004 Comments:
AMEC have recently spent several months working with Food & Drink organisations
in the Middle East. We have extensive experience in implementing change and training
programmes, in particular: -
Lean Manufacturing - Standard Operating Practices (SOP's) - Improved hygiene
regimes - End-to-End Logistics assessment The
above programmes have all been delivered in a multicultural environment to both
managers and production staff. The work provided real challenges in terms of communicating
best/better practice. AMEC Food & Drink and SHE specialists are therefore
delighted to see these issues being raised and discussed by the HSE, NWFA and
the Food & Drink Industry. |

I think that this is a wonderful idea and the issue will affect a large proportion
of British Industry not simply food manufacturers. As a business the Roberts Food
Group, Leeds are currently developing pictorial information sheets as we have
six different languages employed within our business amongst which includes;
Urdu, Punjabi, Kurdish, Russian, etc Can
you please keep us appraised of your progress and nearer to the event we would
be happy to share the work that we have completed with other companies. |
